What is Gaming cardio? Well, it is a phrase I just made up, so let me explain. If you visit our website regularly you might have noticed a few articles about fitness. Like the RPG-style workout series called ‘Level up your fitness’, where we basically ‘gamify’ your workout so you can enjoy it more. But what about video games that have a workout already built in? Why not use those games to entertain ourselves and level up our ‘fitness game’ as well? Genius! Right? So here’s my list of suggestions for video games that I consider to fall under the category of Gaming cardio to help you get the best of both worlds!

With the holiday season behind us, some of you might have gotten a VR headset as a present. And while VR gaming is massively fun, these headsets can also be used for various VR gaming workouts. But how does a VR workout compare to a regular workout? Is it just a fun way to get some light movement in? Or could a VR gaming session actually replace a regular workout session?
We all know the gamer stereotype: People who spend all day in front of the computer or console, barely moving a muscle. When they do move, it’s usually to walk to the kitchen and grab some potato chips or a plate of cookies with a soda to wash it down. As a result of this lifestyle, gamers are often incredibly skinny if they are blessed with a quick metabolism or overweight if they aren’t. Did we describe that right? Are gaming and fitness hard to match? Or is there more to be said?
Welcome back to the level up your fitness workout series! We are already in week 2 of our 6-week program and we are very excited you are still with us! This week we get to meet our second class: the Paladin. A little more core this week, but of course, a Paladin is basically a magic fighter class, so he has to be able to tank a bit and take bodyshots.
