I’m one of those people that loves Christmas. Sitting in your home with little fairy lights and candles, a warm mug of hot chocolate milk with a snugly onesie on while it’s cold outside. Buying the most awesome presents for friends and family and see the smiles on their faces when it’s boxing day. And of course, don’t forget all the good food and tasty Christmas treats. And it doesn’t stop there, nope, even my favourite games are bringing Christmas spirit into my world.
Snowdown Showdown
League of Legends is one of those games that I’ve spent many hours playing. And every year at Christmas time I get excited for the Snowdown Showdown seasonal event. Every year there are little changes to the map and new themed Legacy skins and discount on runes.
Candy Canes and Mistletoes
The first Christmas skin I got was Slay Belle Katarina. I just loved the reindeer headpiece, swords with stars and little bows on her socks! Later on my collection grew more and more. At this moment in time I’m the proud owner of: Candy Cane Miss Fortune, Winter Wonder Orianna, Winter Wonder Lulu, Snowstorn Sivir, Silent Night Sona, Snow Day Ziggs and Mistletoe Le Blanc. Still, there are so many awesome Chistmas skins I don’t own (yet). Like Sejuani riding a Poro or Maokai throwing around gifts!
This years Snow Down
For patch 7.24 Riot Games suprises us with ‘Snow battle Arurf’. This is a new Urf mode. This game mode takes place on a snowy Summoners Rift map and you can only play with champions that have a Christmas skin. Snowballs with a 12 second cooldown adds a lot of mobillity to this game mode and add to some epic plays.
