When my eyes fell on the sneakers from the Pokémon x Adidas collection, I was immediately sold! Because I also fit the largest size of children’s shoes, I had even more options! In the end the pixel Pikachu stole my heart! After many wears these are all worn out, and it was time to scour the internet for a new pair. To make life a bit easier for you, I’m sharing my top five geeky sneakers with matching socks with you! Unfortunately, some collaborations like Nintendo x Vans & Puma x Animal Crossing are sold out, but you can always try your luck at finding them being sold somewhere online.
1. Puma Ralph Samson “Pac-Man”
Soon I found a very cool website where various geeky sneakers are offered. My favorite are these Pac-man sneakers by Puma. Not only the colors appealed to me, but also the fact that the parts are attached with Velcro, so you can determine the placement yourself! Take a look on videogamesneakers.com for more pictures of these amazing sneakers.
2. Converse Chuck Taylor All Star “Pokémon”
All stars, a real wardrobe essential. Both the high and low top and in black and white have been part of my collection for years. These Pokémon Coverse are therefore also a real must have! Besides Pikachu and the three starter Pokémon; Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander (Let us know who’s your favorite by voting on our IG stories poll) there’s also a spot for Meowth and the oh-so-cute Jigglypuff.
3. Puma Suede “Minecraft”
Puma is doing well when it comes to gaming themed sneakers! The color combo of these Suede Minecraft sneakers is absolutely great! The Creeper label is a case of less is more for me and I would carefully cut it off.
4.Fred Perry Spencer “Space Invaders”
Back to arcade game inspired sneakers with these Space Invaders sneakers. The small crab, squid and octopus on the laces give these apparently basic sneakers a nice twist. If the invaders on the brim are glow in the dark that that would be a huge plus otherwise buy a jar of glow in the dark paint for some d.i.y.
5. Diesel Street Fighter “Chun Li”
The Italian clothing brand Diesel launched limited edition sneakers inspired by characters from Street Fighter. Our favorites are these Chun Li inspired sneakers. Diesel also made shoes inspired by these fighters: Ryu, Birdie, Nash and Bison. The beautiful details on the heel and the text on the sole saying: Spinning & Birdkick really make these geeky sneakers special!
Up your game with matching socks!
To level up your fashion game you’re in need of some matching socks . My personal; favourites are these cute ones from Animal Crossing. But for each of the sneakers we’ve found a matching pair:
