God, I wish it was that easy! Just clicking that start button and magical nerd love appears! Yay! You beat Diablo together in no time, Call of Duty becomes a daily thing, watching anime series becomes your life and before you know it seasons seem to fly by in what only feels like a few days. And last but not least, you become a badass couple who can do martial arts together, like those awesome moves you see in Avatar or in the Streetfighter games.
Sounds perfect, right?
Well..Lets just say that that magical start button took 5 years before to be pressed by the love of my geek life Kelian. But before I tell you my story, let me introduce myself. My name is Samantha. And I realise I just made it sound like he took his sweet time pressing the button, but to be fair we both did. 5 years ago I met Kelian and instantly liked him. I thought he was really handsome, charming and I loved his genuine smile and kindness. I was on the edge of a break up. I could talk to him about it, which helped me with all my emotions. We had so much in common: anime, games, sport, how we wanted our life to be. So… we became really good friends.
The path of friendship.
When I became single I considered going on a date with Kelian. But it looked as if life had other plans for us. At the time I really thought he liked someone else. Talking about that moment 5 years later Kelian told me that he thought that I liked someone else at that time.. I guess timing isn’t everything! Eventually, I got in a new relationship. We still talked about life and did many things together, like martial arts, swimming, boxing, movies, chill evenings with friends and playing Mario Cart.
We saw each other around 6 days a week. So you can understand that we always had a deep connection. He was always there for me. When life was hard on me he was the guy that cheered me up. I just wanted him to be happy with someone too and I even tried to send him on dates with girls that I knew. Can you imagine? He met a girl at my birthday and they started dating. And us? Well, we continued being just friends. To be honest we always did know that we would be a good couple together. We had that spark, but I think we just needed to learn our own lessons before we could end up together. So finally a year ago our roads crossed and that connection became even stronger. He became my geek, my soulmate and I had the best year of my life.
Cosplay and Anime.
He loves the geek girl that I am. We even cosplayed together when we were just friends. My cosplay name is Multifluffyness. I have my own page on Facebook and Instagram and I never expected that I would reach 5000 followers in such a short time. I just want to say that I am really thankfull for all the support and love I received. Besides that, I want to thank my supportive boyfriend for believing in me and supporting all my cosplays. Kelian comes with me to events like Abunai and Animecon! I just really need him to cosplay One Punch Man and let him do some kicks and flips! Everyone, including me, would go crazy!
Game merchandise house.
Kelian loves that I have a big game collection. We love to play games together. We play games like; Diablo, Call of Duty, Mario, Donkey Kong. If you can name it, we probably already play it! If it´s a 1-player game like Alice Madness Returns, Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Bloodborne or The Wolf Amoung Us, one of us just watches the other play. Recently we bought a PlayStation 4 together and we have been playing Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris. Guess what!? A 2-player Lara Croft game! I sincerely did not know it even existed. I thought I played them all… Perks of having a nerd boyfriend!
